Mills is a good scorer but on the days when he doesn't find the net his contribution is minimal I'm afraid. Just checked the video. Mills made the first goal with a defence-splitting pass. So basically when he doesn't find the net he makes one of our two goals instead. Sorry that displeases you. That's the best way to utilise sol, get him running in behind, at the moment when he gets it to feet he feels he needs to do all the tricks in the book to beat his man, with the goal he showed his pace and power and it wasn't a bad ball in at the end of it, looks to me like if he doesn't have time to think about what to do he's at his most dangerous

The reason the ball into the channels was so prominent yesterday was the fact our midfield 2 haven't got the ability or speed of thought to utilise the space, this is where rob Purdie shows his worth, he comes receives uses the ball pass and move, links up with Pablo, keeps the ball moving, his movement and speed of thought would have ripped them apart yesterday, the full backs need to get forward more and support our wingers sol especially give and go it's another attacking option when sides put men behind the ball, get in behind them with Bonella playing so deep at times you can afford for them to do so. But again if we had taken our chances or even half chances we score 5-6, I think Pablo misses purds even though he was superb again yesterday, that football brain is 2 yards quicker in the head. I agree with a lot of that (except that "ball into channels" is a very kind way to describe what was happening) but I'd like to see more of Carlos and don't understand why he wasn't allowed to do some of what Purds does yesterday.

Certainly an option but I'd be wary of putting him in to be kicked to kingdom come. Last week was perfect situation for him 6-2 up against 10 men, slowly slowly catchy monkey.

Mills is a good scorer but on the days when he doesn't find the net his contribution is minimal I'm afraid. A goalscorer with his records creates space for his team-mates just by being on the pitch. Plus, as others have suggested, he is much more than just a goalscorer - see yesterdays assist for an example.

Mills - first name down. Haysham - second.
Purdie hasn't gone beyond a defender for seven years. Full-back.
James - bye.
