Just been thinking about this and what may happen on Saturday;
Will the number of pre-paid tickets be considerably less than the last two games, with fans hust turning up at the gate even if they have arrived early enough to prepay.. After all what benefit is there to pre purchase?
So does this now mean the queue could be at the cash turnstiles, thus just shifting the problem. Maybe actually making more work for ES staff since it would not be wise for a turnstile operator to leave the turnstile with cash unassisted.
Perhaps those that pay at a cash turnstile should be charged an extra 50p - £1.
FYI: I have a ST but wife does not and so she will go straight to a cash turnstile.

People using a cash turnstile pay more doesn't make much sense to me as all that will happen then is the queues will be at the ticket office again. Maybe ticket stalls rather than windows may work? Or just pay turnstile operators and go back to cash turnstiles?

I'm gonna go down the ground tomorrow and get mine just in case. We usually get in the ground for home games quite early anyway to get a good spot

Was told on the turnstile,they opened the gates late today as only seven gate men on duty.Next week at the moment,there will be 5.

It wasn't perfect early on. Arrived at Meadow End at about 2.15 to find only one of the first two turnstiles open with a queue. Went to the next steps to be turned away as 'cash only'. Directed to the third steps to find no turnstiles open. Went back to the first entrance and joined the queue! |
