Yes, I don't really know what I'm making a fuss about. Sorry. Apology accepted on this occasion. But next time? Actually don't let there be a next time

Totally agree that umbrellas are spawn of the devil. It is said that there is no such thing as bad weather, just poor equipment. I recently bought a pair of waterproof shorts for those changeable days (for walking not spectating) but my wife thinks that even the concept of waterproof shorts is slightly disturbing.

As you get older the whole concept of waterproof shorts gets very disturbing

Some of the defenders (and even strikers) in this league have beer bellies. Shouldn't it be possible to shelter beneath the overhang when one takes a throw-in?

What was it with Woking and rain - there was an abandoned game at The Street, the FA cup game and that Conference match where we had a singing battle in their version of the Meadow End - everytime we tried to be rude about Yeovil, they drowned us out with Stevanage.

As far as lobbing the ball into the box from miles away goes that bloke was very good, in fact they had two or three like that. We shouldn't need to resort to that though - scoring goals isn't our problem at the moment!!

When was the last time we got a proper wash in an uncovered away end? Just out of interest on a dull Sunday morning. I ain't one of the hardcore home and awayers so have missed loads. I remember Woking away in the FA Cup about 10/15 years ago was character building. I was there too, didn't we lose 1-0? I seem to remember it being a completely miserable day!

I am pretty certain Jamie Pitman scored for them, and the weather was that bad that you knew that there would be no way back. This was a couple of seasons before the goal fest team were put together I reckon.

Last Saturday was pretty wet. A few odd types stood around for a while in the rain before running under the little shelter.
