I've never worried about rain at a game before - move towards the back of the ME at home and usually something similar away. With winter on its way and at less developed grounds, what is the favoured protection method for members of this forum (from the weather) at away games? Or is it best just not to go if the forecast is poor?

We have in the next couple of weeks, umbrellas and waterproof trousers coming into stock.
Along with replen on the popular winter jacket that is already in stock.
Will look at a 'lighter' waterproof jacket too.

Murray. What the heck has your contribution to this thread got to do with the weather? There are enough threads about your pet hang ups elsewhere. Go for a walk.

Umbrellas have no place at football. It only takes on selfish muppet to use one to prevent others from seeing anything in the game.
Wear waterproof clothing, a coat with a hood, sit in the stands, man up and get wet, whatever options suit but leave the brolly at home!

When was the last time we got a proper wash in an uncovered away end? Just out of interest on a dull Sunday morning. I ain't one of the hardcore home and awayers so have missed loads. I remember Woking away in the FA Cup about 10/15 years ago was character building.

As for obstructing views, unlikely lol... Look silly with a brolly (but dry) Or look sillier looking like a drowned rat?? No brainier really :-)

Remember Kettering a few years ago, moved to a sheltered stand when it started to pour down, all of a sudden the atmosphere changed as the roof and sides captured the singing better.

No brainier really :-) At Rocester two people stood at the rail put up umbrellas and probably 20% of the people in the stand could then see only half of the pitch. Put up your brolly by all means but go and stand at the back where it's not in everyone else's way.

The club shop just commented about new merchandise they are getting in. What the hell has this got to do with MW. If you want a statement from MW speak to him don't take over every fu ckin thread having a moan. Rant over.

Sorry.
