as there are some discussions on one of Beadles quotes that supporters want to be entertained so...... on the being entertained should have also put (like last night) because it was entertaining TBF.

I think the question is a little too simplistic. If we were a comfortable mid table league two or even conference team then results occasionally suffering for the sake of entertainment is far more palatable than where we are at now. For this club, with the fanbase we inherited, Midland League football is NOT viable long term. I think personally if we are in this division next year some of our support will wain but not enough for it to become critical but will our support base sustain a third or beyond ? I suspect not. If we are still in this division in 2 years time I would suspect that our attendances will be more in line with out neighbours and quite frankly I think our city has enough clubs of that size already. If this club is to even stand still in terms of support and interest I would suggest 2 promotions in the first 3 or 4 years is absolutely vital!
Lets get some points on the board first and worry about how pretty it is later.

I don't want to be entertained if it means losing 5-4 every match. This season is all about getting out of this division. As simple as that. Someone posted 'play the division' and they were dead right. Whatever it takes Beadle, whatever it takes.

Shirley the one and only target for the football club is to get out of this division at all costs?
They look like achieving it, but possibly via the wrong exit, at present.

We don't want a team of 6 ft cloggers but we do want a team that competes in the air and on the ground. Last night we did neither. Unless some height is found to combat aerial balls from free kicks, corners and long throws we are buggered! This is not La Liga and we are not Barcelona. Winning is all we want, style is secondary at this level.

Obviously getting out of this division is paramount and the way that question is posed leaves only one possible answer. Failure to get promotion this season would be one huge clusterFeck and seriously damaging to the future of this football club.
That being said, I'm not sure I could stick a season of narrow 1-0 wins playing a la Coleshill last night and would probably give up watching that sooner than I would give up on this current HFC side.

A group of players who are six foot plus and are not capable of controlling a ball and only knows to thump it forward will not necessarily gain promotion. All we need are a few older heads who have a football brain to compliment the existing players.
