The irony is that if it was announced that O'Neil Thompson was the latest to stand his round/applaud the fans/ high five and shiners, I would be delighted.
For the comedy value if nothing else

Was speaking to a mate at work today who's best mate is the stourport centre half, from what he understands it just a matter of time before he does sign, it's just the travelling he's not sure about

Right, it's clear from that abject performance at the back that something needs sorting defensively! Midfield and attack seem fine, not a lot wrong there. I don't think I'm the only one thinking this but James just isn't cutting the mustard so far, so I'm thinking realistically how can we address it. Who do people think are realistic signings apart from the unemployed Spanish maestro we'd be lucky to have, of course? I'd say a realistic shout would be that centre half from Stourport. We're probably not too far away for him (Depending on where he actually lives) and he looked very good against us; tall, strong and mopped up long balls all day long. Nice one convertabull lol

At 23, a club going places (ahem) paid to play plus expenses, only down the road, play in front of 1,500 -2,000 every home game. Could open his eyes, no other bigger club below conference level, is he ambitious ? If not then he's not for us anyway.

Yes I agree he was excellent at Stourport, my point was, that every time a certain player is mentioned on here beadle seems to sign him, hope it's only a coincidence

Agree regarding James seeming off the pace. Mistakes and unintelligent decisions abound! Good footballing head and has been the most vocal player of all though. Might need a big lad alongside to shore things up - maybe James lacking in confidence of his fellow back liners?

I stand corrected, looks like we must have a chance of signing him, and only 23, thought him older than that, mature footballer for his age i would think.

I'm hopeful that with a bit of quality/height alongside him James will come good.

Still happy with those three, though I've only seen James twice (in both games he played well). Sorry som but u must be watching different games than me, he really is struggling I saw him in the FC United and Dunkirk games. Did you not think he did ok in those two (particularly the first)? Of course I haven't seen him since.
