To be fair, they haven't been bullied out of midfield but more the fact until the second half on Saturday they've been understaffed.

Not sure about this, I think maybe one more steely midfielder would help but the 2nd half on Saturday showed how good we can be and what we're capable of. The key will be our home form, I'm confident we'll get better as the season progresses.

It won't no, but that with 9-10 away wins will be more then enough. However while I don't see us losing at home, a couple of draws is more then likely.
As for the original post, he can't have been there. We most certainly weren't Bullied at any point in the game. Two long balls over the top, and a keeper error were how their three goals came about.
The sooner we learn that our back four must play deeper, the goals against will dry up. Of the 8 goals we have conceded this season, two have been pens which have come from a ball over the top, one a free kick while we were chasing the game at Highgate, the second Stourport goal was the same, the three goals Saturday as described and a similar long ball forward against Dunkirk. Most of the teams will have a nippy striker, and by playing a little deeper, it should cut out the long ball over the top. Look what all three home teams have done against us.

Was it won a couple of years back with only 3 defeats ? Though up to about 8 might do it.

Rodders, you appear to understand your football very well. Defend deeper, full-backs alert to sweep round to help any lack of pace in central defence, should solve plenty of problems. Only fools hold a high line when they haven't the pace to deal with something when they're running in the wrong direction. Defend deeper. Doesn't mean you have to suffer a disconnect between defence and midfield, you just adapt accordingly and stay cohesive.

The problem is we are conceeding too many sloppy goals. In general we actually aren't dealing with a great deal of pressure and real chances of note, apart from the goals. This is obviously a big issue but cut the sloppy mistakes out and we actually have a pretty ruthless team. After scoring their third I think Rocester might have created one half chance for the final 80 minutes of the game.

6 points out of 12, three away games: moderate, but certainly not disastrous, in my opinion.
Turn it all on its head: Rocester must have been kicking themselves about their tactics?

I was, and Sol in particular got kicked all over the pitch by their full back. At one point the full back kicked out wildly at him long after the ball had gone and was booked and after that Sol was too scared to take him on and was pulled off at half time.

I have only been to Stourport away, but it seems to me that, away from home, only one wide player should start to give a bit more protection in midfield. At home it's a different matter.

He doesn't look the type to split a defence but I certainly think he'll shield the defence quite well. Will be interesting to see what side Beadle puts out on Tuesday.

It seems to me that Sol is struggling generally, surely only a matter of time before he gets benched.

You are just obsessed with putting a Spanish slant on everything. Let it go, let it go...

it was a change of personel and tactics. No one was bullied despite their somewhat physical approach.
I for one hope that we stick with this formation that lets the full backs get forward and add width, then we can play one wide man and Hughes up front with Mills. we would see plenty of goals (at the right end!) .
