Good news but as an aside does anyone else share my joy at other contenders for the title getting their games postponed, I believe it will be a major factor in the run in.

Is this the first time we've moved a league match in order to play the same opponents in a cup match on the day instead? I mean, moving league matches for cup matches is common practice in all leagues tinpot or otherwise but I don't recall this happening to any team let alone us or Alvechurch. Although tbh until this season I haven't been following their fixtures! It could easily happen to two League 2 teams for instance in the FA Cup.

I think we'd all like to know the answer to that one.

Seems strange to me would have thought more people for a league match on a Saturday plus more commercial activity. Not so for a Tuesday night

The return fixture at Alvechurch on Easter Monday may also be postponed if Hereford reach the final of the Herefordshire FA Challenge Cup which will apparently take precedence.

Maybe we'll end up playing them on the Tuesday and Thursday of the final week of the season...

Who cares if we do? We'll have the title wrapped up long before Easter.

I'm guessing it's a league decision? If not, it seems like an absolutely bizzare decision. Who actually gives a damn about the League cup?

Not so for a Tuesday night Maybe in aggregate attendance this way will get more over the 2 games. Agree, there will be less for the cup game on a Sat but not by much I reckon as people will have the afternoon committed to watching HFC anyway. Having a league game against the biggest rival to the title (apart from Khalsa) on a Tuesday night will still draw in a big crowd, much more than a mid-week cup game.

This is one of the last sixteen ties, so a possible three more matches for the winner. Only one match in this round has been played so far with Sporting Khalsa reaching the quarter finals following a 4-2 victory over Heanor Town.

Yes, agree and it gives us a chance to hopefully put a bit of daylight between us and them.

I probably wouldn't have gone to the polystyrene cup game but I'll certainly be there on the 23rd now.
Am I talking to myself again?
