I would suggest the Fund needs to be started straight away so Paul Caddis has some leeway in re-signing those players he wants to keep for next season. Some players we have may be going to get better offers than they were on this season so he needs to consider if he can up their wages from what he offered last season. Not saying we want to be held to ransom but he obviously does not want to start from scratch again. It would be good to see the bulk of the players signed sooner than later to encourage season ticket sales.

No, make that double it. I’m not suggesting that they should (or shouldn’t), but it’s the only way a significant pot could be generated I suspect.

Didn't they wack a decent amount in last season? Not zillions obviously, but a proper bit of wedge.

No. The club needs to be sustainable on its own and not rely on donations. Boost the budget funds should only be used as a one off if, for example, we were on the edge of the play offs with a few games to go and needed to bring a couple more players in. Do it every season and it'll be taken for granted.

We could be in National North for quite a few seasons until the Club affords to be self sustainable. A fan based set up is always going to need financial support if you want a quick promotion. Graham Turner took some time to be able to assemble a winning team capable of getting further forwards. Selling players is a thing of the past in realistic terms, so extra income has to be generated elsewhere, such as playing a top Premier team away in the FA cup in Round 3, and televised cup games. I agree that you cannot expect the same people donating funds every year. There does not appear to be a benefactor who could safely be trusted to bankroll us for a couple of years.
