Interesting to see the actor Neil Pearson, he of 'Drop the Dead Donkey' and 'Between the Lines' history, appear in tonight's 'Silent Witness' episode.
Perhaps more interesting (but only if one cares), was the introduction into the script the phrase 'between the lines...'
Rather clever, if self-indulgent, I thought.

I am partly through next episode but still no sign of "And remember, at Sit Up Britain, no one ever gets sacked for shagging the boss"

I suspect if it isn’t in the script, it might be in the diary....

I recently read somewhere that there was going to be a remake of Drop the Dead Donkey, with original cast. A bit difficult as at least one is dead…..

"...reading between the lines." Also, with Hermione Norris in the cast, I'm surprised the producer didn't get cold feet. Perhaps the production team was spooked. 😉

Rather than being a man behaving badly, if you had made a faster show, you could have started all this earlier when John Thomson appeared in the series.
