...from any single band.
I'm thinking that we can spam this thread with the three greatest songs ever made by any single band (regardless of quality or snobbery). Well, at least I might. For at least two nights.
Edit: I will warn you that this is very difficult when you decide to pick a group/band that you don't like. For example, I've just wasted 30 minutes of my life listening to Take That songs.

Feel free to beat that top three but surely Gathering Moss would be in it? Edit: you won't beat Turning Tide either. Just been singing loud with my fists punching the air at 3am.
If you've got problems with that, then you've got problems.

I can’t see any links, but for me the SFA top 3 is pretty much 1. Run Christian Run 2. The Man don’t give a f**k 3. Ice Hockey Hair
Today at least.
(edit-can now see the links)

You're quite right, MK, this is tough. Here are my favourite Free songs today, and I didn't even get past their debut album.

I'd go for Talking Heads but they only did 2 of sufficient quality to qualify.

I'd go for Talking Heads but they only did 2 of sufficient quality to qualify. Ooh. Bad man. Dream Operator then any two from Stop Making Sense. Life During Wartime and that one that goes "on the second day we had everything we could want" or something like that.

I just like MTs choices without seeing them as the phone is bufferliscious. That is faith 😀.

Like everything else, Talking Heads were better before 1980. Post-Remain in Light, they never recorded anything as good as Genius of Love. Remain in Light is overrated. There are at least half a dozen songs better than Life During Wartime on Fear of Music. David Byrne is a tw*t.
Unpopular opinions.
