Quite so WL … he was a bit of a prat tbh. Now he’s just a bit of a bore really. Yes cb sinbad really did make him look a chump, remember it well. Mind you he did the same to Lomu iirc ! I enjoy the 6n but I’d sooner watch glaws anytime. Mind you I literally watch the actual rugby and skip the pre- match drivel and the half time drivel. I’ve got to the stage where I barely have any interest in England in the 6N. Not quite wanting them to lose, but not far off. Synonymous with the awful experience that is “Twickers” and the cheats from Barnet. Nothing whatsoever to do with the continued overlooking of anyone connected with Cherry and White- Mercer being the latest unfathomable exclusion

The topic being Little Miss Attention Seeker of course. Otherwise I will have to wait for Butty drinking Eggy from Hunderton to get on to get any sense out of thd rugby crowd.

Cb I fully understand your post above as I feel largely the same way. My days of going to twickenham finished a long while back because of the prices and the non-rugby crowd it attracts. However I do enjoy the club game and watch internationals when there are no club games to watch. Quite enjoyed the A game last night.

Actually, it’s a tolerable experience, on the 6-8 times I’ve been. Might feel differently if I’d ever actually paid for the ticket. 🤭

Although locals tend to keep a low profile when it’s Army vs Navy. Very different kind of ‘experience’ that one.

I have to agree with you on this one, Barney, and apologise on behalf of my fellow attendees. The strange thing is that in the whole history of Armed Forces rugby, there have not been 80,000 people ever played the game, possibly worldwide. I don't know where all the interest comes from. It's almost as if a load of p!ssheads have found an excuse for a mammoth session. I can't agree with much of the post by ww; Dallaglio's opinions are not held in much esteem by the rugby fraternity. However, he is correct about that ghastly Butty Bach; it is to be avoided if possible.

Deal with the subject matter for once, you absolute bunch of nonentities who never played any sport. Is that you being “clever”, abusive or attention seeking … can’t quite make up my mind …. probably 2 out of 3 your posting persona really is the epitome of a troll though ! we had one like you on shedweb … he got banned so is no more …. Oh maybe he is back .. on here ?

I actually enjoyed the France v Italy game, yesterday: so close.
Test rugby is now back to what it was like when I fell in love with the game in the 60s; England being beaten by most teams.
I started following rugby in 1963, the year England just missed winning the grand slam because of a 0-0 draw in Dublin; yep, you read that right, 0-0. They'd also drawn 0-0 with Wales a year or two before.
In the first game of that championship, England beat Wales in Cardiff, on a pitch covered in straw because of the freezing weather that year. That day was my 8th birthday; I had to wait until I was 36 for the next time they beat Wales in Cardiff.
England finished bottom or 2nd to bottom most years. In 1972 they managed to finish bottom even though they played more games than the other teams; it was when Wales and Scotland refused to go to Dublin because of the troubles in Northern Ireland.
Then, in 1973, happy days, they finished first in the championship; well equal first. To qualify that statement, they were equal first with the other 4 teams; all 5 teams won their home games, and it was in the days before try and win/lose bonus points, and points difference, counted towards position. I'll take it.
Following England has gone full circle for me, yet, back in the day, they played much more entertaining losing rugby than the borefest, box kicking game that they play now. Even the 0-0 draws were more entertaining.

I’m not that interested in watching England these days , I prefer club rugby. However due to illness I watched them all this weekend. The only one I enjoyed really was the France v Italy which I’d least expected to enjoy as usually it’s such a given. The Ireland win was so predictable as was Scotlands. You can’t spill and turnover that much ball if you want to win internationals. Not sure that sb has much vision or an attacking plan to win a World Cup. It feels rather like when jones was in charge, I never believed we’d win a wc under his management. Hope I’m wrong though… I also watched the Scot eng u20 game which I enjoyed … and the A game v Portugal which was a total mismatch … yes I was a couch potato last weekend as I couldn’t face anything else .. I’ve never watched so much tv !!

Good Morning.
The sun is shining brightly in Gloucester today. That was bloody brilliant in front of a packed out Kingsholm. First half was a bit of a bore fest, but shackles came off when Tiggers had a couple of yellows and couldn’t live with us for 30 mins or so.
May only be the Prem Cup, but it’s one only two domestic trophies so not knocking it. After a pretty rotten season, Glaws have now won 5 in a row, have their first bit of silverware since 2015 and are well placed in the Challenge Cup.
It appears that Skivs might know what he’s doing

Seems that TNT have got a new camera setup; you could easily make out the bald patch on a players' head, or the arse crack of a forward at a scrum, but you couldn't see how the defences were set up, or, if a player kicked (which they did an awful lot, last night), where the feckin ball was going. Anyway, Glaws are cup winners. That feels strange to say after all these years; similar to the first time you used the French that you'd learned in school, when an adult.

Got back and thought, pop the rugby on. That'll do nicely. England went 16-3 down and I thought 'I wonder what is on at 9?". England playing exciting rugby. I am no expert but that doesn't happen that often does it?

Three good games yesterday and a great Six Nations all round.
A word for Italy. They had a fantastic campaign. The timing couldn't have been better. I don't think it's a flash in the pan either. This team has a handful of players who would grace a Six Nations combined side. Brex, Lamaro' and Menoncello were particularly good. Garbisi and Ioanne weren't far behind. If you've ever watched or played rugby in Italy you will know how much this success means to Italian rugby.

I’m not so sure gatland coming back in was a wise move. I’m english so why do I care really … Good to see England going for it with some decent attacking rugby last night. I thought France a shade lucky to get the win. Great for the 6n that Italy only lost 2 games this time … shows real progress and suggests that they won’t be the whipping boys anymore.

From last night - Leicester 25 - 27 Gloucester. First win at Leicester since my replica shirt was about 10 years old. Unfortunately, I had to dip into the weekend's alcohol ration to celebrate, so I'll have to show restraint for the rest of the weekend. Yeah, right.
This post, on this morning's Shedweb led to a TOS moment:
Blake has updated his iconic poem...
Tiger Tiger burning not so bright
Twas my offload that won last night
The rugby reference is to Seb Blake, the young Gloucester hooker who made a last minute break (his 2nd try-producing break of the evening) and then offloaded to Varney to score the match winning try (who still had a lot to do). Brilliant try. If you don't know the classic Tyger Tyger, Blake reference, have a word with your old English teacher.
