I think you will find Paul wished to ban all over 65's with no upper age limit. Your impression of those born just before and after the end of the war is based on the comics you read as most of us couldn't afford dope and spent our hard earned money on raising our families. As usual your guardian reading leftist views bring the same incisive clarity to the table as does Jeremy Corbyn Let's see. Someone turning 80 this year (my Father-in-Law, for example) - a pretty good age by anyone's standards - would have been born in 1936. They wouldn't have reached the age of ten until after WWII (so unlikely to have 'fought to preserve our way of life', I'd have thought....). They wouldn't have reached 'maturity' until after rationing ended, but would have hit that sweet spot that a lot of Outers allude to - the 50s, when the sun always shone upon Britain and everyone knew their place. Now you're telling us that it was all rubbish back then. I'm confused, you need to get your story straight. Oh, and my impression is based upon talking to those around me - my father (born 1920), my mother (born 1941) and my above mentioned Father-in-Law. My father is no longer with us but was a proud European, and the other two back Remain. My brother-in-law Is turned 92 and was one of the first dispatch riders to enter Belsen but the horrors he saw have stopped him speaking of it. My father worked in munitions by day and as fire warden at night as he was too old to enlist. I went through rationing until 9 or 10 years old and had a very modest family life until I married and it got tougher often necessitating holding down 2 jobs to make ends meet.I have never once smoked dope or taken any other drugs but I did vote to join the Common Market and having been misled and lied too about the true intention of the EU I welcome the chance to put things right. Simply if you do not want to belong to an undemocratic Federal Europe vote leave.

My parents are both in their mid eighties. Both were 13 when WW2 ended (btw my understanding was that the Germans were defeated by the "allies" in the West and by those darned Commies in the East. Amazing what a bit of co-operation between countries can do.) Both were brought up in bucolic 50s Worcestershire, both were in their 40s when we joined the EEC. They also read the Daily Mail and the Telegraph (and The Times). Both think that this whole referendum is a load of rubbish and of course we should stay. Both life long Tory voters if it assists. My father is a retired solicitor, so probably only thinks about this in his spare time. Other opinions are available. It's one of the few political ones we share. Cool story bro

I think excitable and chinashop have spent too much time in Alf Ramsey's Porn Dungeon. No need for porn sites as a normal relationship reigns

I think the comparison with Alf Garnett was somewhat harsh. I don't support West Ham.
