In principle I agree Singe. However Lonsdale has proven over and over, across the country for many years before "joining us", that he is a serial liar and BAD person, ask his numerous creditors or fans of Feltham FC, for example.
So HOW do we KNOW he will speak the truth, the whole truth, and nowt but the truth. He's just out to cause trouble, end of, imho.

In principle Archie I agree (!) and I think you sum up his character well.
However, we are currently experiencing a few surprises with the stories we have been strung along with by other apparently more reliable individuals. Just being devils advocate. Have to stay I was staggered to see our old chum back on the forum again.

Morning all
Looks like an interesting evening. I butted out at the point that my bona fides were being questioned. Didn't want to get embroiled in an argument or tit for tat. So sorry to old Meadowender if my rather throw away remark in the Munsley thread led to any confusion. I'm new at this lark, and appreciate that "mod" posts can be misinterpreted. I'll flag up the tongue in cheek ones a bit more in future (like this..)
To confirm-no bans have been issued, nor contemplated. And it is not possible to ban for 5 minutes.
Re Lonsdale. I did not "salute his courage". I stated that I respected it (it's all relative of course-coming on here is hardly showing his face on the Meadow End). I also respect his right to post on here, and posters rights to vent at him (he hasn't complained at the abuse he got, nor should he). If you ask nicely you sometimes get a response. He answered some of my questions (although he certainly ignored the more difficult ones).
Anyway. A new day. It's been an interesting start to the board. I'm just glad we won yesterday.
edit-And then I had a quick look at the Questions to Directors thread...

To be honest colebridge I think you guys are doing a fantastic job. I actually wondered to myself why would anyone do what you guys are doing. You have already had many situations were there are different people fiercely defending their point of view and criticising you for not taking any action. Some on here need to cut you guys some slack otherwise we wont have a forum at all and would have missed out on the fun of the last few hours.

Give him some slack - getting home after being stuck in traffic for that long is a big deal. I wonder how much weight he lost?
If it were the Lardmeister, that was some front showing up here. Just worries me what he may be up to next, or what those at the other end of the strings is up to now?

My tuppence worth here. It's not possible to issue a short ban, the shortest ban available is 1 day. Second, I made the jokey comment about banning someone, It was followed by a smiley face thingy ? to confirm it was a joke. I apologise if that confused anyone. Now to the issue of not being able to post anything for 5-10 minutes during a heated period. I too experienced such an issue at the very same time and I certainly didn't ban myself! I am not sure where in the world the upset poster was but I was right in the middle of the storm at the time. I have two separate internet connections and I suffered on both systems. I have no idea what the issue was but I too had it. Now to the poster Lonsdale. I am suspicious that it was in fact Lonsdale at all. None of his posts revealed anything we didn't already know, his email address was a simple hotmail one and his IP address resolved back to Glasgow. Personally I think it was a WUM having you over but I cannot prove that. This forum is for all to express their views and as long as it stays legal and reasonably civil all are free to post. I respectfully suggest that if you don't like someone else's view don't read them or stay away. There will be no bans for posting on here no matter who you are, if you stay within the realms of a bit of decency, not whilst I help moderate this forum. I wish you all a good day and here's looking forward to our next win on Tuesday so we have banter about our progress up the league! JC

I am clinging to the hope that he was the real slim shady and just up in Glasgow finalising the purchase of Rangers.

I wonder if he's the new defender signing beadle is looking for after seeing the side leak goals in the first 4 games.

I wish you all a good day and here's looking forward to our next win on Tuesday so we have banter about our progress up the league! JC You could well be right, but I just didn't think there was enough humour for it to be a WUM; forgive my over-enthusiastic use of the etiquette guide, but a WUM is usually laying some Whooshbait in order to get a full keep net. I also suspect that Fat Andy's ego would be too big for him not to come on here and have a dig. In addition he wishes us luck - a classic if he's got other irons in the fire and wants the whole 'Hereford United thing' to quietly disappear (immediately after that bunch of loosers left they were sniffing around other clubs but those involved in SES were quickly informing possible victims of what to expect). Finally, his little outburst in the middle of the night - surely a WUM would be tucked up in bed rather than angrily posting abuse.
Still, perhaps we'll never know.
As an aside, I think it's slightly unfair to say Colebridge was supporting Andy. However you look at it, considering the (completely justified) hammering that Agomdale got it does take a certain sort of guts (I'll set 'em up, you knock 'em in...) for him to post on here. And I'm a great believer in 'give 'em enough rope'.

You may well be right. In a way I hope it was him, it means he is watching our club and will see what could have been. I hope the club go from strength to strength and watching it makes him choke.
I too am a firm believer of giving enough rope etc. That's why this forum will remain free to post and moderation will be as light as we can be, but don't think that's going to be an open invitation for abuse of the forum.
Have a great day and keep posting!

This forum is for all to express their views and as long as it stays legal and reasonably civil all are free to post. Well said! That's exactly how it should be. Otherwise we'll have learnt nothing from the last sorry days of Bulls Banter. I can understand the hatred of Lonsdale if it was indeed him, but surely the whole point of a public internet forum is that everyone should be entitled to share their opinion as long as they don't cross the line of personal abuse? If they do then ban 'em! The trouble with democracy is it brings freedom of speech. We may not like the people or what they say but the alternative is far worse. Let them make themselves the fools they are.

How long before last evening's contributors actually sit their 11 plus? Dunno if your vague comment includes me, but if so then I'm more than happy to compare my professional quals with yours.
