We now have both centre halves banned! TBFL, Jamer should have gone last Saturday.
(Although today sounds more like sinned against than sinner)

We do not have players who can outplay any team in this division. Absolutely, categorically NOT. I warned about all these old faces.
What? Absolutely, categorically NOT?
What happened second half then?
Outplay them? Nah, looks like we rocested them ;-)

So who's going to say that we are so MASSIVE that we are required to give all our opponents a two or three goal start?
Oh. Me.
That's one for Twitter then...

Nathan Hughes got the third. A nice run through midfield from Bonella with a tidy one-two, passed it through to Hughes who put it in the back of the net ... according to Keith Hall.

He shouldn't need to jump! The ball should be played on the deck - we have players who should be able to outplay any team in this division. Why in God's name are we playing the ball up to him when invariably he'll be marked by some 6'2 brute!? We do not have players who can outplay any team in this division. Absolutely, categorically NOT. I warned about all these old faces.
Maybe not any team but we certainly do have the players to outplay a lot of teams in this division if it came down to a proper football match. Unfortunately it seems a) the players heads aren't right at the moment b) the tactics aren't right at the moment and c) most other teams aren't looking to play 'proper' football but rather win at all costs. Understandable but I wouldn't want to watch that week in, week out. It's not just about winning - although it feels that way at the moment - but how you win games is absolutely paramount in order to keep crowds at a decent level and attract players/staff in the future. Where has the preseason form and style gone?! Barely hit a single long ball in the six or seven friendlies yet by all accounts - and I've been away so haven't seen the away games - this has completely flipped when it matters. It's not a case of bringing some massive brute in to knock people about. It's a case of getting the tactics right and playing the ball along the deck - however bobbly it may be, that isn't an excuse.

Pre season friendlies were in the main played against teams who passed it. Now we are seeing the reality of this league played on crap pitches which do not really favour sides who want to keep it on the ground. Hence why you need a bit of size and muscle to get out of it. Very few will stay away if we were to keep winning!

Want some muscle in midfield and defence but don't want to just hoof it up in the air to get forward. Is that a compromise reasonabull?

Hereford need more strength & muscle. Sadly, a decent level of football ability is not enough, away from home, in this league.
Home form absolutely vital this season, with reasonably frequent points, on the road, vital.

Well done Peter Beadle and the boys for putting that right in the end! The Beadle Out Brigade can hang their heads in shame. It's still August... We haven't time to get it right especially after two away defeats to start the season. I still maintain he isn't the right man for the job, however with our budget compared to the rest of the division (and a division or two above), anyone who was employed should lead us to promotion. At least the players kept going although the mental weakness of players at this level played a part. We need to stop giving the opposition an early advantage especially away from home. I think we need to utilise Hughes more - his strength and height will be an asset. Also we need to be a little more direct with our approach, I think we try to play too much at times. And I don't mean hoofs up field or anything like that, just get the ball forwards quicker, get the balls in dangerous areas where we can punish the opposition when they make their inevitable mistakes. I appreciate some of our goals today came from decent football but Rocester aren't exactly gonna be challenging the top teams.

Two wins, two losses. Not great but not a disaster. We must have shown some character today to come back with four goals. Well done lads. Onwards and upwards.
