Could be a hard match given our last three home games have been far from successful.

What a rabble that will be, D, G, H blockers and the away coach load all cuddled up to each other

We need to win that game and hopefully keep alive our hopes of a lucrative tie later in the competition. With only two sides of the ground populated it will be a strange atmosphere and may not favour us. At the moment everything is dictated by our finances which is understandable but how much is saved. If we lose people will look at this action as a reason. A decent run in this cup is one way of generating funds that we desperately need. If it was a trophy game it would be reasonable to expect this more. With the price for tickets being higher this will deter fans as well so overall there will be less atmosphere to intimidate the opposition. Are we being too over cautious because we need success on the field to keep fans coming through the gates.

They had good result today. Won 5-1 so next week won’t be that easy if we don’t put best team out.

Don't particularly care. The league is what matters. Half the ground is closed. Speak volumes.

Due to this game and hopefully the next round we have only got three league games in September. We have 1 point from the first two with Kings Lynn at home in two weeks. KL games never seem to be that easy.

We can’t cry poverty and then ignore the chance of a good payday in later rounds of FA Cup so hope we are well up for it. FA Cup always been popular at Hereford.

I reckon we will get beat. Anyway you can't cry poverty on 3000 gates. You can cry poverty at the pathetic gates Hereford United got in League 2 / Conference.
We are unlikely to be drawn against a club that will attract 3000 fans for a quite a few games. That's why I don't care. Get through to the 1st round proper and get drawn against Harrogate. They get less through the turnstyles than us. The magic of the cup. Its not economically that viable these days. Certainly not worth putting above the league. The chance of getting drawn away against Chelsea (3rd Eleven) is basically approaching 0%. Even then the tickets will be virtually giveaways.

What we need to do is trawl through several rounds of qualifiers, win in rounds 1 and 2 (proper like) and then draw Newcastle away.
We’ll take over a 1000 fans to Tyneside the passion of which will persuade Trippier to sign for us on loan for the remainder of the season to replace Skinner when he gets a move to Tamworth.
We’ll get a decent payday, have a good weekend on the lash in the toon and be able to give a CB who doesn’t have serious injury problems a contract the following season.
And Monkey Tennis will be especially happy as I expect the Tesco cider is even cheaper up there.
