I've heard the same story. The source suggested not everything may be above board.

I've heard the same story. The source suggested not everything may be above board. Just clocked on the BN article. £5.2M wage bill. That is massive. That must be something like £100k a week I would imagine 😃. Seriously though that is a staggering number.

I follow Keiran Maguire on Twitter.
He posts on football finance.
It's accounts filing season and everyone is making a loss. Sloppies loss seems about the norm.
Two clubs made a small profit in the national League, most lost shedfuls.
If you're a club that's not allowed to go into the red how on earth do you compete?
Or do you win everything by default when everyone else goes bust?

I guess the answer is to employ a manager who actually understands football rather than just employing a former player who says all the buzz words with confidence. It surely can't be that hard if you're not a complete moron.

I think our co-worker Martin has just realised that this is a Hereford FC forum.

I believe I'm right in saying he's flounced before - and then come back to torment us further.
Why do people do that?

I think our co-worker Martin has just realised that this is a Hereford FC forum. Undoubtedly he’ll come back reincarnated claiming what a fantastic ruse it was of his because we were all talking about his flounce and therefore it generated a load of interest on here.

To be fair, when I first looked at the board this morning and saw the tell-tale "Deleted", I thought there'd at least be some good overnight virtual brawling to read - but nothing. A very disappointing flounce in my opinion.

He'll probably try and sneak in with a different user name, like, "Michael Garway-Hill" and think nobody will notice.
Edit. A tactic I've seen used before!

Probably his sixth or seventh flounce. Predictable and boring. Went at about 3am after a flurry of edited posts. Read into that what you will.

Might have to unload some players to save money. Clubs going to have to realise if they haven’t got the money to gamble with they should not try it.
Time to make a move for bowman? Thoughts.

If you think we can afford Bowman dream on! The nearest we can get to a Bowman is MT and he drinks Tesco Cider.

I rated him highly when he was playing here for United. His wages will almost certainly be a factor in the massive loss up the A49, so he'll be way beyond the reach of our limited resources. One imagines.....

Looks like the financial issues continue up North
“This morning, at our emergency Board meeting, I offered my immediate resignation as Chairman but this was rejected by the Board as despite all the positive changes we are making to reduce the losses - without my current financial support - we would not be able to continue to fulfill our commitments.“

The only League Chairman whose name is an anagram of Billy Fury.

"fulfil." The only League Chairman whose name is an anagram of Billy Fury. I saw his statue the other day. Billy Fury that is, not the Sloppy Chairman. On the dockside in Liverpool.
