The way to win that match by 3/4/5 Pond. Roll the ball out to any defender in space, launch it to Okeke. 50% of the time a goal opportunity.

The folly of not picking Williams on Monday amply amplified. He was never written off by the Think Tank. Certainly not at this lamentable level, looking at the rest of forwards available. Pond (wrong way) 8; Skinner (outpaced on several crucial occasions, again) 5, Howkins 7, Cameron 5, Hudson 7; Texeira 7, McHale 5, Babos 7; Okeke 8, Williams 8, Cowley 5; You see, Andy Williams instinctively knows what to do, where to go. It's a poor team, however. The retained list shouldn't feature too many of these individuals. Disagree over Howkins and Cowley, swap those ratings over. Delighted for Willo both today and Monday, smart player, Hereford legend, but he's put in a few stinkers lately also. You weren't at Brackley, but would have warranted a Think Tank 3/10 at best. Of all the strikers on the books, I'd keep Jason Cowley as a priority. And please tell, if Ceesay is 'too old', what does that make Willo? There is no doubt that Cowley should be offered a contract. Blindingly obvious? Willo, being 37, probably wouldn't warrant a position on the wing where Ceesay operates. If he had played on Monday three vital points would have been acquired. Wouldn't touch the latter with a barge pole on an ongoing basis. Not good enough. Check his CV. Move him on. Thanks very much.

Thinking defensively, is there a cut off for loan signings at the end of the season. That feels like it is a thing. We have three games. No spare defenders, not sure what has happened to Southern? Assuming Skinner will be one game, Cameron at least 2? That is quite significant. Seeing as the season is still alive (just). Can we recall Mark Derricott?

Clearly not in his plans, have no idea how much/well he has been playing bit he will hopefully be battle hardened.

Barely crept over the line. His penalty though was top notch. Crowley was largely ineffective tonight but has done enough previously to warrant a contract.

That was a shocker, pub football from both sides.Hoof, hoof and hoof.Pond has never got near a pen but made a couple of decent saves to give us the points. At last. I concur. Terrible football for the most part Who cares? It's another 3 points in the bank...............

But we are not gonna make the playoffs and that was unwatchable, terrible stuff. And it should have been a straightforward, easy win.

Felt a bit low energy (tired?) at the start but decent result. But as others have said - we should have been sailing tbh.
We will get hammered on Saturday unless we tighten things up in middle.
McHale left Skinner exposed most of the match.
Feel for Cowley - he’s probably best with a big lump up front feeding him. Babos again had a good game.

If you go to BBC Sport NLN Top Scorers Williams has the best minutes per goals in the chart (admittedly over a less sustained period than everyone else). A goal every 93 minutes. There have been three games responsible for most of that.
If you consider he has been out of sorts for a fair chunk of the games, what impact could he have had if he hadn't come a proper cropper in pre season?
Sorry, can't do the link.

Cowley a goal every 188 minutes which isn't too shabby either.

Shot accuracy and conversion, room for improvement?

Technically Jordan Cranston's still our player too. Might be worth a recall if Cameron's suspended for the final two games?

Ah. Got it.
Might have been better had Organic been messaged directly. From experience, he's pretty quick to correct stuff.

Highlights assist with the yellows.
Skinner’s both stonewall. Yellows. No complaints.
Cameron very unlucky to get carded for the first. Clearly won the ball for the second. Very poor officiating.
