Still lots of nonsense on here about "how the budget was meant to be pitiful". Where can I find this budget information? How much is it? Where's the league table of budgets? When exactly was the epiphany of honesty at this football club? I think the Chairman said we had only 5000 quid in the bank prior to season ticket sales. It will be on Bulls News somewhere, or maybe on one of those fans forum videos. But I get your sentiment - because we both know if someone decided they wanted our playing budget to be the highest in the league then it would happen.

When exactly was the epiphany of honesty at this football club? White Lightning or Pink Sunshine or whatever he calls himself at the minute said that we had a bottom six budget for this season and lots of posters believed him. Realistically of course a club of our size and fanbase should have a top six budget, so it does seem we have underachieved this season. Unless they have falsified the accounts the information is contained within that. We have been through this and the numbers I was throwing about scrubbed up well. This seasons pre feel good shot in the arm was meant to be lower. Because Gowling spent millions apparently.

Keep most.
Need proper competition or a replacement for Pond. Like him and that but cost us far too many points.
Lyden, Willo, Downing injury prone and likely on a good wage. Willo on a pay as you play would be no problem and he'd probably be up for it. Ditto Tope.
I think we'll try keep Phillips and wouldn't be that surprised if we went back in for Freemantle and Pugh.
Like Mendes and clearly shows intent and tries hard but not got the quality personally.
Need two proper wingers (or attacking midfielders) - can't see Okeke being with us, but then Stockport look like being in League 1, so who knows.
Still also could do with a proper finisher. Cowley is good on his day but been a bit dissapointing lately.
And a centre half.

Need to be aiming higher but alas see what the budget is. Find Tex flatters to deceive, Pond increasingly worrying and Rooney will be a fine/assistant coach but I think unless desperate next year, then get on the touchline. Need some depth all over the pitch. Cameron probably one to call time on, unless in a back 5. Lyden might well be talented but to pay him when he's barely fit seems a waste of resources. 50/50 with Cameron till tonight.sending off harsh but he looks too clumsy.Pond not sure.Tex I'd keep .agree with the above on the rest

Skinner can't complain, correct call by the ref. We are too slow, by a good bit, in the centre of the defence, biggest area of concern IMO. Does Dara have a younger brother?

There is no point in having a midfield if you don't play through it. And if you hoof it. Hoof it to the wing!

Definitely would love Okeke. But it wont happen. Id get rid of most to be honest. Babos has signed and seeing as he must surely be player of the season thats a positive. Lots of ok players.

Just to clarify- despite what was said on the commentary, Cameron was shown a second yellow before the red.
My immediate reaction when the player went down was that it was a yellow. Haven’t seen any replay of course.

Listened on radio fc. Frank tends to get excited when we have a break on, good commentary but then it ends in a very quite “oh dear” which always means we had a chance but messed it up somehow for ourselves. Must have heard it 3 or 4 times last night. How many teams have actually beaten us this season? How many times has our mistakes cost us. How many games have we given gifts to the opposition ? Completely new squad yes but they should know each other by now. With summer coming if they return they will have forgotten each other and have to start again If cowley stays ban him from leaving the opposition penalty box, two wingers to do the wing work and a big mountain man to bounce the defenders about and let cowls do the striking. How many times have the words “there’s no one there” been uttered this season.

Almost every goal is down to a mistake somewhere, but you’re right, we’ve gifted an alarming number of very bad ones, mostly on The centre backs, a few on Pond (who I would offer, is still in credit). They’re decent players, and no one expects perfect, but I think communication is too often an issue. Numerous times yesterday two white shirts went for the same ball, been happening all season. All of which said, there is very little finger wagging, it seems an admirable no blame culture is present in the squad. Keep that, and with a smaller blooper reel, we’ll improve again.

Pen last night was one of those ball to hand “offences”-probably the biggest and most unexpected bounces of the night as the pitch looked very claggy all game. Pond made a few very good saves, but committed too early for the pen which went straight down the middle. He does seem to be a “confidence” player, but I think he’s definitely worth another season. Bit more pace at the back is a clear “go to” for the summer.

Jordan Lyden, 28. He had Achilles tendon trouble earlier in his injury-blighted career. Is this still his, er, Achilles heel - because nobody ever tells us? He plays a game, misses a game. People say "well we know he's injured." I watched his every move on Monday and decided there's nothing wrong with him. Imperative he is signed if we can make some sort of sense of this situation.
Okeke is miles the best winger employed this season.

He is way too good for NLN.

I wouldn’t keep Cameron ,Howkins, Hudson Skinner or Pond. Cameron isn’t that bad in my opinion. Wins most of his headers and tackles and is a good organiser but he needs a quick mobile Center back along side him. Everyone else seems to disagree with me though. 🙄

Not sure who the defence coach is but when you only have 4 hours with the players a week and Injury forces almost a weekly change in the back line then problems are inevitable .No time to develope zonal and too many man to man failures evident as seen today.Consistency of selection and pace at the back essential next season with 2 fit and strong centre backs. Far to many soft goals conceded this season and numerous chances given up against any side in the NN over the 90 minutes.

The centre of our defence is obviously a concern, particularly the lack of pace, but I would honestly try to keep most of the squad for next season. If we could add a bit of height in attack, a tackler in midfield and a long-throw merchant I don't think we would be too far away.
