Lyden looked comfortable in front of the defence, and will only get better when fully fit. Ceesay had a good first half attacking from a wing position and was constantly getting into dangerous positions having beaten his man. Their keeper was interesting. I thought he was their bus driver. To say he was in the dying twilight embers of his career would be charitable. He nearly got booked for time wasting, but had to take a breather during the run up for a goal kick. Their fans really enjoyed their day out,and they gave it a good go. Unfortunately,we were excellent for the first ten minutes and then gradually faded into mediocrity. Babos was MOM for me,but an ineffectual Stanley was awarded that honour.

We made very hard work of that I thought.
Tex had a very poor game often caught in possession and most of his passing was sideways or backwards.
I agree Babos was MOM for me never stopped working.
Ceesay great to start but ran out of steam and rightly substituted.
We still have absolutely no teeth up front and against a better team we would have come up short I think.
Still £3k in the bank which pays half a weeks admin wages so all is well.

Pond wants to score and is more likely to score than the other players on the pitch. Strikes me as nobody else wants to. Listening to h&w they were getting frustrated about our players in good positions but passing sideways instead of taking a pop themselves.

Just back. That was hard work.
It's all gone wrong since the 74 bus to Newton Farm has been replaced by a bus with no number.

No scores on the doors from the Angsty Nomad this week. It’s only the FACup after all. Not alone in missing this one. As was the case with many of us (I’ve decided I’m part of the hardcore 2500 now, rather than the 1500 of the old club. And barely even that in truth).
Meanwhile, genius runs in the familial DNA. As a ME dweller when I can be arsed I’m not with this, but what do I know.
“Well, my brother wrote to Caddis on his appointment suggesting that it makes more sense if we attack the Meadow End first half to get an impetus from the crowd, which we never do out of choice. We did yesterday for the first time, scored after 6 minutes and won. Makes sense to me. He (H) is a member of the senior fraternity. “

Im putting it out there that there's no statistical correlation between kicking towards Meadow End 2nd half to points gained / win ratio v the other way round Has this been debunked before?
Its just a hypothesis..

Beyond the INDISPUTABLE FACT that the seasons in which we attacked the ME first half (71-72, 72-73, 75-76, 03-04, 05-06 and 07-08) were the most successful seasons for HUFC, then no.
