Oh, OK, it seems that unless one uses twitter or whatever, might as well just guess.

Oh, OK, it seems that unless one uses twitter or whatever, might as well just guess. That's the wonder of these all singing, all dancing, modern communication systems. You'll always be up to date with Wagatha Christie and Love Island, and the things that really affect your life, like war, politics, the economy, HFC, will be conspicuous by their absence.

BN reports that Chester have sold 400 Season Tickets thus far as at today. Last detail from HFC was sales of 100. Does anyone know how many have been sold to date? Does anyone feel inclined to keep us updated? I see that Chester offer their fans the option to pay in instalments x 5 interest free payments including earlybird sales maybe that has helped sales ?

I buy mine on the basis of expecting the worst but hoping I haven't been over optimistic.

We do seem to be expensive compared to the likes of Darlington, will this put people off with the cost of living being an issue. Also fans travelling have to tolerate rises in costs to reach the ground.

Also fans travelling have to tolerate rises in costs to reach the ground. I know Hereford isn't exactly Belgravia, but I would imagine Darlington is generally a cheaper place to live with all the incomes/costs less than many other parts of the world. That is a bit of a guess mind so someone is going to find a chart now and prove that it is a nonsense. Although when it comes to the cost of going at this level in general, someone asked me how much a Hereford season ticket was the other day and I guessed (getting mine next week) and went with £320. Their reaction had the words bloody hell in it, oh and expensive.

Standard reaction I have heard for many years, even from those who are season ticket holders at clubs at top of the ladder in England. In fact it, is it not the the standard reaction of the majority of those who actually buy them and they are in the best place to judge, as they actually receive the product. I could not tell you if a Canon camera is "bloody hell that's expensive" as i don't have one, whereas Tesco pear cider ......

I think sales are ahead of last year, so that's positive.

Just bought mine. I admit to having some reservations but then I thought, Feck it - if I don't renew I'll probably never see Martin Kilpeck again.

Just purchased mine, the excitement, antispation, can't wait for Saturday afternoons ,when does the season start, pretending that you're not down when we lose, goal celebrations, giving Gordon some stick when he attacks the meadow end, watching toe score against us and not celebrating, disappointment, spoiled weekends , working out how many points we require to get into the playoffs, or not get relagated, making the mistake of having one to many pints before the match and not getting to half time....... begins all over again , ain't it great wouldn't have it any other way.

I too am missing it already. However, and given the way things are currently looking, I'm thinking of making the mistake of having one too many pints before the match and not getting to kick-off, something I almost achieved on several occasions last season.

I love the close season to start with. I think today is sort of the end of the season. All the end of season stuff done and dusted.
I will be ready for another dose of misery though.

This "one too many pints" forum member trend, not setting the appropriate standard for such a quality forum. No wonder the posts often descend into utter garbage and abuse. Though it might be a good selling point if season ticket came with 6 free drink vouchers for every game.

At my age I decided long ago to forego the joys of a pre-match pint. I wouldn't last to half time and it's a long way from the back of 'B' Block to the loos on the corner of the Meadow End. Even a coffee tends to have the same effect.

It's a pity that more people who attend sports events do not have your discipline; the number of times that you have to stand up during a game, as people parade by, makes it more like a session at the Oktoberfest than a match. I get strange looks when I sing, as they go past, Ein Prosit, ein Prosit Der Gemütlichkeit Ein Prosit, ein Prosit Der Gemütlichkeit Oans! Zwoa! Drie! G’suffa!
