You have got to love Jarrod Bowen for getting us to that chant alone. Brilliant work from the West Ham star.
No one saw that coming but I am glad it arrived.

On a related but slightly different note, it does seem to me that HFC fans aren't going overboard on Bowen. It seems like they are not all that excited by it. Do you think this is because the subconsciously have a disconnect between the last year of Hereford United and the current Hereford FC? Or... considering the piss poor attendances around the time that he played for us, perhaps hardly anyone actually saw him play(!?) so feel like they cannot lay claim to him. It's not just interest in Bowen that's low key, but interest in anything H(U)FC related. The excitement of getting our club back (LOL) gradually dropped off after the first Wembley appearance, and people gradually realised that it's not their club at all, and stopped caring. It's nothing to do with Bowen, and all to do with general apathy when it comes to do with anything associated with the team that plays at Edgar Street Athletic Ground.

Given that it’s been a very poor pre-season/autumn, there’s a pandemic, and it’s cold, I’d say our gates, when properly reported, have stood up surprisingly well. Sure, this place is quieter, but there are reasons for that.

The high number of banning orders by pubs on certain forum member(s)?

I think if Matt Healey played more Billy Joel that might get more punters in. Might even start attracting rugby fans.

(2141 and counting. Praise Cliff for the likes of you Martin) People can keep telling me that I care about HFC. No problem, it makes no difference. I'm here to talk shit. Mostly about politics, our cultural decline, cricket and music whilst occasionally enjoying memories of Hereford United and gently reminding people what disgrace befell them.

Well there's always been diehards and people with nothing better to do with their lives. 78% of registered members of this forum haven't even logged in in 2021. I'm sure a few are multis, but that suggests a lot of those that had an interest inn the early years of HFC now couldn't care less. I'd be interested in what you take on this is, especially considering you dismissed my previous suggestions that this place is toxic

At least only 2 of my bands had the same person in them. Are you an acquaintance of Paul? I've seen him at the football a couple of times over the years; I was wondering if he ever did gigs locally, It would be a good night I imagine. Most cathartic.

The point I was trying to make was more that when compared to many clubs a tier or two higher than ours, and a pretty rubbish July-October, our gates have stood up very well. Please also point me to my dismissal of your toxic claims. Not questioning you at all but some folk, again not pointing at you, like taking comments completely out of context, or even in one case, inventing them. Of late there have been episodes on here that could be described as toxic, but there’s still, in my view, a lot more fun than poison.

Odd, considering you're one of very few level headed people on this forum.
