This is a joke and a very bad one at that. This literally makes no sense whatsoever. If Gloucester were sitting in or around the fringes of the play-offs there might be some merit but they're currently sat in 17th. I mean are we after some form of success or is this more about everyone looking after their old mates?

Is it national tw@t night! We are a small team in National League North, people wanted a younger go ahead manager to replace Beadle, so you’ve got what you wanted and still moaning! Give the guy a chance, you’re making me embarrassed to know I share a terrace with these imbeciles not very eloquently put, but I actually agree with you for once.

We've got around two and a half thousand performance analysts at present. All in agreement. Not sure why we need another one.
The world's gone mad. Again.

Well, this highlights only how much the board wanted rid of Beadle.
Personal
Sack the board!

I would love to know if that bloke from Banger applied (Nicholson?). Seemed a real good fit.

I feel sorry for them.
Not for the reaction on here, they’re big lads, they’ll cope, but for having to work with the brains trust sitting in our boardroom.
Which said, they’ll get my support, until or if they show that they’re as poor 97% of this madhouse seems to think.
Anything above 17th, and some half decent football to watch will be ok, given what they’ve walked into.

If you had asked if fanbase wanted beadle sacked to be replaced by a director of football (anybody), Richards PLUS backroom staff you would've got about a 1-2% yes vote on that. It''s bollox.

I agree with Nobby. I'm not the Board's greatest fan, but ffs. Give the guy a chance. I'm underwhelmed however I agree, the guy should be given a chance. The board though, are an absolute shower. I thought we were after a big name that would get us to the FL? I'm not saying he *won't* do it, but it isn't exactly the sort of appointment that while strike fear into the NLN.

I don't think now is the right time to be hiring a manager with 8 months experience with an entourage of sports performance geeks.
All that was needed was a old skool experienced manager, a couple of battering rams up front and a player with an incredibly long throw. It's regional football FFS!

I agree with Nobby. I'm not the Board's greatest fan, but ffs. Give the guy a chance. He is going to remain undefeated for at least 45 minutes. I am usually pretty gobby and wtf is he doing here, but we do need to give him a chance. He isn't going to turn this season round too quickly given the current state of things of the pitch.

So not only has colebridge said we're going to be run like a rugby team we're also going to one that has been #@&te for the past 20 years. All things considered this appointment is absolutely mental and I have literally no idea why anyone on the board has actively supported any of this. Leaving aside the deliberate misrepresentation of your first sentence (and the fact that the current management team at GRFC have been in place for just over 12 months reaching one European final and being solidly tipped for top 4 this season), on what possible basis do you suggest that the appointment is "absolutely mental"? (Obviously I could highlight your other comment so it was retaken out of context if I was feeling particularly childish) (so I have) Who did you want out of interest. Bearing in mind the likely job description... Well I wasn't expecting anyone to come in and blow everyone's minds. I wasn't even expecting to know the name. But maybe what I did expect was for some one to have at the very least been there and done it in some form. I mean they say they want a return to the football league with this set up. I honestly can't see that myself. Or maybe if I put it this way, I really can't see how this is in any way better than what we had before. It really does seem like we've gone back to the good old days of Keyte and his 20 backroom staff to support a young and enthusiastic manager. I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. But this really could end up being a bit of a disaster I'm sorry to say. There really does seem a bit of ill will towards the club after what has happened. I wasn't a big Beadle fan but I did feel we owed him till the end of the season at least. To push him out the door in that manner and now present us with this really will have many people scratching their heads I'm sure.

Being brutally honest my initial reaction was anger at the absolute bare-faced cheek of the situation, that we appear to have gone through the rigmarole of an interview process as a smokescreen just to appoint Harris' favourite at the end of it. I assume no compensation is required for any of these new members of staff.
That being said, whilst it is thoroughly underwhelming and unlikely to be an appointment that puts a single person on the gate come Saturday all we can do is give him a chance. Has to be better than it has been thus far this season!

Don't all successful managers have to start somewhere?
I appreciate for every Eddie Howe, there's a Jamie Pitman (although he apparently was a decent enough coach), but to write him off because he's unproven is utterly ridiculous.
Maybe, just maybe, the Board may have got this one right.
Let's see.

Good luck to him, he deserves a chance and our support.
Who knows....he could be perfect for the job. He needs the chance and our backing to give him and the team the best chance of success.

Realistically he must know that he will not be “given a chance” and will have to hit the ground running. Not saying whether that is right or wrong but that is the reality.

I think people are criticising the Board not Richards. Only time will tell but at this present moment, I fail to see that the club has benefited from this sudden change of management. Beadle/ Jenkins vs Harris/Richards. Worth all the chaos of the last 3 weeks? Not for me.

Agreed, for me Beadle deserved a lot longer in this league, there were a few fools chirping up who helped give the board a bit of fuel, my post was aimed at these.....be careful what you wish for

Well kk was right he knows feck all about running a club...this meeting with the football brains which came to this decision all sounds a bit suspect to me especially if Harris was in on it....if he was,not only as he wangled himself the top job he's got his mate the head coach job and he's got 2 other mates to join as well...what the bloody hell do we need a performance analyst for were a part time club...what a waste of good money which beadle could have had to get some (or kept) decent players ....it really does take the biscuit that Beadle at to use £10000 of his travel budget thus getting the players to drive to matches just so he can have a bit extra to spend on players

If as they state experienced league managers applied why have we ended up with an inexperienced manager from a league not even up to the standard we are in now?? I just hope the board realise if he fails then they must go as well!! To remove a successful team was some gamble!! I guess the bigger monkeys would want bigger peanuts? Agree and it wouldn't do to have the coach with more experience and knowledge than him I suppose!!
