The guidelines for the is board make it clear that debate is welcomed, but also stress that posters should, wherever possible, refrain from making comments which could be regarded as offensive to other users.
It is , of course, all a question of context, and no doubt this post will be met with a response that Poster A is allowed to get away with it, so why shouldn't poster B. In the circumstances, and as a thread like this will inevitably " get lively" no posts made to date will be edited or removed by the Admin team, nor will any further action be considered for posts made to date.
The words " to date" are stressed. A continuation of the deterioration of this thread will result in further action being taken.
Thankyou Admin

It seems to me that Mr Corbyn, far from being the fraud of whom, er, nobby speaks (yes, you couldn't make it up), is in fact a what you see is what you get kind of politician. He actually stands for certain principles - whether you like them or not. Now I'm not saying for one minute he's going to win the election, but I'll tell you what - he'll surprise a few of you.

Sounds like you have Great Faith in him Whilst I appreciate he is leader more because of the party membership than his parliamentary colleagues, it is precisely because he is not a natural or a manufactured leader that he is, in fact, somebody who will attract bona fide "labour" kinds of voter. The more Theresa May targets him, the bigger the mistake she is making.

Absolutely right.
May is coming across as more and more weak as every day goes by. Interestingly, the media are beginning to pick up on this. Noticed a real shift on the BBC news last night. Corbyn is gathering "momentum" ( sic) as he is attracting large and supportive crowds. The media tend to go with the flow.
The Tory approach thus far has been overwhelmingly negative and dull. You might even think that they actually don't want to win this...

You have to wonder where all those tory voters are at that time of day.

I don't believe for a second that he "sent (you) a pm telling (you) to hang (yourself)." Not his style. Not B either. No reason to do it. Makes more sense to leave it here and let people draw their own conclusions about the kind of person you are. Maybe C. That's a pretty serious accusation you've made there. My preferred option would be D, where you throw a massive strop, tell everybody to f*ck off, disappear in a puff of flounce and then return a week later with a new, misspelt username.

Sigh.
Is it a full moon?
Admin sent a pm to excitable this morning as a result of a number of complaints about a couple of his posts earlier today. It was these posts that prompted the Admin post of a few hours ago. It was not felt necessary to deal with matters with anything other than an explanation and a request not to repeat the content of the posts again.
Excitable responded by accusing the Admin team of being politically biased and "picking on him". All mods were copied into this exchange. In the same message excitable openly invited the Mod team to ban him and delete his accounts (his plural)
Barney joined the conversation, agreed with the decision not to ban, but suggested that excitable would eventually "hang himself". In other words, shoot himself in the foot, commit metaphorical hari kari, or, more obviously write something that would result in a ban.
If excitable wishes to take this up with the Admin team, he is more than welcome. If he would rather make himself look ridiculous by making the issue public, then that is absolutely his right.
To summarize. Excitable has not been politely asked to not write offensive posts because of the political views he chooses to eschew in the persona he adopts on here. He's been simply asked to abide by the forum guidelines. Not entirely unreasonable you would think.
