Just learnt that, quite depressingly, where I live in Surrey has been a Tory seat since 1918. Not at all surprised, but the trip to the polling station does feel slightly in vain.

I think what you have to ask yourself is would you really be that depressed or upset if your constituency had voted conservative for that period of time. Doubt there's many sat in there council house in Merthyr Tydfil right now thinking to themselves thank god we've always voted Labour.

Josh O'Keefe always managed to claim a goal even if his shot was going to hit aisle 16 at Tesco... until it hit someone on the arsehead and looped into the net. At one point I think I got so pissed off with this that I actually tried to email the football league to complain about their poor standard of refereeing/review system.
I have no idea what this means in political terms, but it probably has something to do with nobby indirectly hitting on a meaningful point by merely smashing all the buttons on his keyboard.
Basdically, I guess that if it works, it works. Martin Foyle knows more about football than you. Nobby for prime minister.
