You do know the back story behind that note, don't you? It was part of a tradition of jokey notes left when the Treasury "changed hands". Been going on for many years. Typically the nasty party subverted that rather nice little tradition to make a political point they had no right to make ever since. Bit Hypothetical Windbagtish tbh. I don't think the guardian needs you to pedal their own crap out on here. Even the person who wrote it said it was the biggest regret of his life. Stop trying to defend the indefensible, it really is embarrassing to watch.Excitatroll has been doing it for years. Are you two related by any chance?

What happens when there's nothing left to sell?!
Government run slave markets. Nah, it's okay, just get a loan off jammo's mum and dad, they're minted. Why didn't they send him to a proper Uni then?

It really is embarrassing to watch. Did I spoil your story? Somebody's tired. Anyway-simple research will assist you. As you obviously aren't very good at it, here's a link to what the man who wrote the note said about it. And look at the picture of the chinless, gutless bloke brandishing it and milking it for all it's worth. Playing to the chinless, gutless buffoons who lap up this sort of crap. www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/may/09/liam-byrne-apology-letter-there-is-no-money-labour-general-electionReal issues, Jammo. Not pathetic point scoring.

No not related so you are predictably wrong again. No surprise there then but 2/10 for consistency

Is this what they call the silly season?
Almost makes me yearn for level 8 football, or whatever the feck number it is currently.
For the last time people, there is absolutely no point in discussing ANYTHING with people who clearly know EVERYTHING, and are never EVER wrong. They will ALWAYS have the LAST WORD, and EVERY single reply just makes their troll-boner grow.

That is literally the stupidest thing I have ever read on this forum I mean everybody knows trolls are made of stone. I just find it literally amazing that anybody could be so ignorant of their fictional creatures. Trolls get their rocks off. FFS the leftwing corbynite blair lovers are just embarassing themselves. Literally.

Fact of the day.
Trolling actually has nothing to do with hairy blokes hiding under bridges.
It is American for what we would call spinning, as in fishing with a lure.

I love how they've papered over the Dianne Abbot affair with the "let's pretend it never happened" strategy. It's hardly an "affair". She got badly caught out on live radio, admittedly, but compared with the forthcoming election expenses charges facing more than 20 Tory MPs, the HSBC money laundering issues that are about to go nuclear and May's refusal to engage with anyone who might ask her awkward questions it's barely a ripple. And of course May is really struggling to recall the details of her embarrassing and deluded conversation ver lunch with Juncker. But Abbott of course...she mucked up her figures..... Keep focusing on the real issues. Oh dear. Turns out the election expenses story was a non-story after all. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39865801After his embarrassing "Brexit won't happen" posts earlier this year, looks like Colebridgebull is to predictions what Diane Abbott is to figures!

Nice high-lighting. Story has been heading news bulletins all day and the Party taking the bullet of the £70000 fine from the Electoral Commission.

"Who do you turn to my lovely, when you're alone......"?

The one that didn't happen? It's another rather pathetic and desperate lie by Mrs May. (Confirmed by the Commission, although without the editorial comment) Labour were fined £7000 and the Lib Dems a bit more for similar transgressions (although not on anything like the same scale as the Party of Government) Here's a very good summary of the position. Note that Mrs May is lying again when she says the Tories were exonerated. thesecretbarrister.com/2017/05/10/myth-busting-the-tory-election-fraud-a-10-point-guide/

It is frightening how brazenly May is prepared to lie and Corbin didn't do himself any favours either. Trouble is that few will take the time to determine the facts and select the soundbite that matches their existing opinion.

It's also revealing that your link is headed "Tory election fraud" but in the article he openly admits Labour and the Libdems were doing exactly the same thing. Hardly an impartial article!
