Bit like some lads not paying for a meal one day, then? “Men more learned than I have vexed themselves looking for his real grave”
Shirley they do not exist ?
.... wrote Welsh Nationalist Owen Rhoscomyl about Owain Glyndwr in 1905.
Promise me you'll buck up?

On page 142 of the current paper edition, the sports writers have demonstrated their in depth knowledge of the game of cricket.
Reporting on Herefordshire's loss to Staffordshire they use the headline "Not enough runs were key to loss."
Incisive, or what?

You might also want to reflect on the fact that the "not enough runs were key to loss" headline is somewhat complicated by the omission to mention just how many runs WERE scored by Herefordshire in the aforementioned article....

Well many others might consider it a minor issue but in my opinion, it’s quite a grave one. Something similar happened with my cousin and he had to hire a Los Angeles DUI attorney as well as personal attorney to get his charges dismissed. I think, people should understand the consequences they might put themselves.

While I accept that everyday language changes with time* and that perhaps falling sales mean that the HT is now staffed by work experience kiddies, these prepositions from the online version just sound completely (wainless) wrong to me:
A 32-year-old Bangladeshi man was arrested from Mowchak, in Commercial Road and a 36-year-old man also from Bangladesh was arrested from Sweet Chilli, in Bridge Street.
Elderly couple burgled of £500 from Presteigne home.
* Still recovering from a meal in a fairly upmarket restaurant in Staffordshire (if that's not an oxymoron) with mother in 80s and wife in 50s some years ago and being asked by the "waiter" if everything was OK for us guys?
