Please explain. I'm not saying people shouldn't worship Sol and make up brilliant chants about "always believing in your Sol, you've got the power to know, you're indestructible.' (Spandau Ballet of course). I just don't understand it personally. I know it was his birthday today, so shall we just put it mildly and say he is not our best player? So why do you all love him so much? Why does he get the most attention for doing the least? Is he an anti-hero? It was troubling me in the car on the way home and I almost put another dent in it. My boy's mother would not have been happy, since it is her car not mine.

He is not our best player and looks low on confidence. So if the odd Spandau Ballet hit is massacred to give him some encouragement that is fine by me. He did put in a couple of decent crosses in the 2nd half.

True. Won't say what he did first half cos it's his birthday.

Had said about Sol before. He has ability but needs educating what to do with it, in the right coaches hands he'll be a good player! Shame he's not Spanish

But talking of the Iberian peninsular, what about that pass for the seventh? Worth the entrance fee alone. Just beautiful and lethal.

A young player low on confidence who looks to have potential, why the hell would we want to get behind him?

A young player low on confidence who looks to have potential, why the hell would we want to get behind him? Fair point. We may have differing views on the extent of his potential, but still a very fair point.

Put in a couple of great balls in the second half. YOU ARE SOL, SOL!

I thought he had his best performance so far.

Surely a rendition of "Sol, Sol will tear you apart again..." is better than the Spandeau Ballet murder?

I think yesterday's support for him will do him the world of good. As will it do for the rest of the team. Mistakes were made by all, only to be expected, but they all seemed to enjoy the game, gave 100%, and now know they can really play football and win games well. A defining day for the season I think. I have to say that I enjoyed the determination with which that smallish band of people murdered the Spandau Ballet song (one of my old favourites as a younger man) not once but twice. In fact I rather hope it catches on in the Meadow End. It was a bit different and "viva la difference." You have convinced me with your explanations, thanks.

To cut a long story short is Sol too muscle bound to be a winger?.

To cut a long story short is Sol too muscle bound to be a winger?. Have you seen Bakary Sako of Crystal Palace/ex-Wolves? Absolute unit.
