Another point is that after last night's carnival we've become a laughing stock for the other MFL clubs. Any fear they may have had in playing at ES in front of 3,000 has gone and they will all now know we're a soft touch and there for the taking. The comments in the OP on sustainability are bang on - the Board and Management must know they need to take a long hard look at themselves and get a grip of this - and quickly - unless they want us to be forever "sustainable" in the MFL !!

There are 322? posters on this board, 1400 season ticket holders and an average crowd so far of around 3000. So around 10% of fans post on here, and at least 50% of those posts are utter drivel. (albeit amusing drivel sometimes). Why would the hierarchy take much notice of a small minority of fans opinions, let alone change policy because of the content of some of them? This forum should be used how it was intended-a platform for disparate views from a cross section of interested parties. But it does make you wonder why someone might find its predecessor so threatening that he would endeavour to censure it and eventually close it down. |

Don't panic Mr. Mannering. The standard is so appalling that we will walk this league once PB has got hold of his team and not been required to follow boardroom sentimentality/PR and employ 'has been' HUFC players. Leave it to Pete Beadle, the Mills and Boon signings were a case of PB and his contacts. James and Purdie are PR stunts. Purdie has a bit more left in him but one clatter from a neanderthal opponent will see him done. And it will happen somewhere. We will look back April as Champions and smile at the first part of this journey. Time to let the football man have his say and move past the hype. If james and Purdie was signed as PR stunts then why is Beadle picking them and why hasn't he just signed someone who he wants in the team to replace them??? Also appointing Beadle could be seen as a PR stunt too, Last popular manager of HUFC before cockneys come in etc etc etc. I would of liked the Cinderford town manager to of been offered it or at least spoken too. Just remember Hereford put 7 days notice on Mills under the previous regime so not so much Beadles contacts because Mills was Known to most then, I wouldn't say it was Beadles contacts that got them to sign, I would say it was the wedge of money that they got offered!!! Beadle has to be brave and sign a centre back or two and replace James asap!
