HUFC is a no brainer. We are 'UNITED' and you can chant it! Agreed, but "united" is in the motto which features on the club badge. I think "Hereford FC forever United" works well and shouldn't be changed, but, of course, that's only my opinion. I think the whole 'Forever United' is, whilst a nice touch initially, also rather cringeworthy if it were to become a permanent fixture. But of course, that's only my opinion  I do think many would struggle to get past it if the 'United' were to be abandoned entirely. It's part of the reason for the popularity of the club this season. |

Its more than just a name,
It highlights the continuation of the old club.
I know opinions vary, but I don't buy into this all new club, new start etc.
So think carefully before committing either way.

This shouldn't even be a debate. We are Hereford United, and one season of success in a village league (as fun as it has been) doesn't mean we should eradicate 90 years of history.

My own view is that it doesn't matter. We're a small city and - with the greatest respect to Westfields and others - non-Herefordians would understand what 'I support Hereford' means.
There are countless towns and small cities that only have one 'big' team - Oldham, Preston, Shrewsbury, Grimsby etc, etc.
If you announce you support 'Wimbledon' people will assume that you look just as fondly upon the exploits of the Crazy Gang as the win at Wembley yesterday. |

I'd rather we were just referred to as "Hereford" and then hopefully in a few years time, we will get the United back.
