At time of writing, when Boston beat Banbury on Tuesday our playoff dream will definitively be over.
However, not inconceivable that if we win next week we'll end up missing out on goal difference after all. Which would be a shame.

Too little too late. Think of all those points thrown away and now I’m frustrated.

It's very unfortunate, on the other hand I suppose you could say if we struck off a couple of the very late winners we'd be nowhere near.

Too many defeats has ultimately cost us. Over a quarter of our games is too many. Draw half of those and we'd probably be in there as of right now without a minus goal difference.

Bottom line for me is that overall it has been a very entertaining season. I think finishing so close to the play-offs is a remarkable achievement for a rookie manager and a squad that was assembled from scratch and that has been plagued by injuries.
OK, some of the squad are injury prone. That said, a number of those who have been unavailable through injury wouldn't be playing at this level if they weren't likely to miss games from time to time. A swings & roundabouts sort of thing, really, regarding injuries and skill levels.
For sure I have been to some games this season that have been stinkers and some have been really enjoyable to watch.
I look forward to next season with a renewed positivity about the football club. The manager has been a breath of fresh air, as is the current chairman. Both learning as they go but both refreshingly honest and forthright. But, for next season I hope to see far fewer injury absences and far fewer red and yellow card absences also.
I will await with interest the season ticket price announcements, the demolition of the Blackfriars End, the threatened floodlight improvements, an upgraded squad, and an even more successful season than this one.
No doubt some will disagree, but I see very little to really complain about regarding our 23/24 season.

I reckon we will win it next season. Start well, big lead, bit of a wobble, home strait - consecutive wins take the title. No plays offs.
Average att: 2856 Highest 4,906 v Chester who finish 2nd.

There are four teams in our way. Three of them are playing lower half Ambre Solaire teams at home. The fourth are playing us (Boston obviously). They have Banbury in the week though who are pretty crap.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the 23/24 season and for the first time in 3 or 4 seasons consider my ST outlay as money well spent. Edit; not only that, but if my Tecoses Club Card continues to allow me to cash in on my cider habit for a few more days, then any increase in ST prices for next season will be swiftly accounted for.

I think it's been a good season and I think we'll definitely be top 7 next season. But the playoffs are a real roll of the dice, so it's a one in six of going up.

So in that respect we have underachieved this season.

Curzon Ashton have about as many followers as Shobdon U14s.

Given that Alfreton have played in the National League, I’m not sure that they’re a smaller club. Certainly more PROPER than Hereford FC

Interesting to note the "manager" has reverted to 2 centre backs when he needs to win games. Half-term report: not a very bright lad, really.

Finishing 1 place outside is no guarantee that we'll be better next season. Its happening now Grab the chance Even if we sign 11 of current squad, does that mean we're promoted by Christmas

After the dross of seasons past, I have really enjoyed this season, even with its ups and downs. What’s not to like? A great manager, the nucleus of a very good team, I am optimistic about next season.
