Poor old Scunthorpe finished 6 places and 13 points ahead of Boston, that's got to hurt!
Shades of 2003/4 when Aldershot went up instead of us despite finishing 23 points behind us.

Never quite understood the need to go to extra time and penalties in play-off games. The League's thinking that the higher ranked team should be 'rewarded' with ome advantage and fewer games makes perfect sense. The team that finishes lower should then have to beat the higher ranked team over 90 mins. If they fail to do that, they 'lose' the tie.

Wouldn’t that just lead to home teams playing negative football to make the games finish 0-0?

Still two-legged but if aggregate score is still level after 180 minutes, higher-placed team advances.
