It also corresponds pretty closely to barely having enough outfield players to put on the park. Mr Caddis and Mr Rooney may have felt that putting out players with experience, even if in a less than ideal formation, would give a better chance of getting a result. I also suspect that working three/four times a week with the squad, they're in a better position to make that call than someone sat in Block A with, hard to believe I know, considerably fewer professional appearances under his belt. Which said, I like your selection for tomorrow evening, and fwiw, hope that's what we get. Yes, those of us in (1) C Block have long lamented the lack of expertise emanating from the odd A (2) Block(head). (1) Does Barney know his way around the stadium do you think? (2) Blockheads now you're talking..........good old Chaz Jankel

Someone give him a stadium plan else he might end up sitting himself down in the Sports Bar and Grill block, though that might have some advantages.

(2) Indeed you are. *Not by HFC, to quickly clarify.

Just seen highlights of Saturday game. 3minute mark babos forward to Crowley who Lino flag’s offside. Looks to me like 2defenders and obeke closer to the gal than cowley with last defender a yard closer to the goal than obeke. I thought that too but nobody seemed to be complaining about it, which is the test I normally apply to see if my eyes were right.

Agreed - big 3 pointer tomorrow night Yes, but Hereford FC have won precisely 1 of their last 7 home league matches. This corresponds almost exactly with a decision to play 3 centre backs. I have to disagree. Our points total with 3 centre backs has averaged more than with 4 defenders as much as you don’t want to believe it. Lost 3 games out of 12 with a forced back 3. I’m sure Caddis wouldn’t have opted for the 3 if he didn’t have to but since switching to that formation results have been better than you suggest. Peterborough sports , Southport , 2 draws against top of the league and 3rd(at the time in Chester) curzon and Chorley defeats. Chester away we won. Spenny away we lost. League points when playing a 3 isn’t as bad as you continuously make out. I think Caddis knows what he’s doing and by all means I do think we are stronger with the 4 but that’s only an opinion of a fan who knows nothing about the everyday makings of the squad. I have to admit I have the upmost respect for the players and management. They see the players for 3.5hrs a week and with the bulk of the squad working regularly then I think we have to continue to be positive and get behind the players and staff like we have done. It begs another question. Should we be looking at the hybrid model of 3 full days a week. Can we afford it. The exec club regulars were talking around a HUGE profit this season upwards of £130k. Our attendances have been the best in the league bar 1 and you’d hazard that had a knock on effect on the beer consumed in the bars and the hats and scarves purchased in the shop. 3 points tonight again a robust stuffy big typical physical NLN side needed. With that in mind it might see for a more physical side for us tonight.

There were undoubtedly matches when Kouhyar, for example, was available and not selected. "Home", dear chap - where the selection of 3 centre backs undoubtedly surrenders the initiative to visitors. If Downing is as good as everybody keeps telling me he doesn't need Howkins or Southern on his right and Cameron on his left. Skinner and Hudson are not wing backs. (Especially the latter.) Skinner, actually, is more potent going forward from right back than he is when deployed further forward.

Starting to see a more natural shape to the team again, and we are still just about in play off contention.

Back 4 returns. A midfield of Tex, Mendes, Babos, Okeke and Ceesay.
I like it.

I will say now that this the team I would've gone for as well. Let the battering commence!

Seems to me those in yellow really like those in white. They just cant keep their hands off them.

Oh dear
I’m thinking maybe four centre backs next week might just do it.

This club really doesn't want to get out of the National League. The ridiculous thing is a win on Saturday could still keep us in contention but it's increasingly looking like we aren't good enough.

If the ref had made sure the game lasted 90 minutes not 65, we would have got a winner
