I've lost track of why the season cannot be finished. Is it to do with the racists?

19/20 season. Champions by default. Funny old world. Not the finish I was expecting but I suppose it's deserved. That lad on all those pictures in May 2001 may yet be proved correct. Who knows?

I know it's promotion by default rather than on merit but Coventry have done very well to go up when they don't even have a ground to play in!

Found it. I initially just searched COV, that was a depressing move.

Found it. I initially just searched COV, that was a depressing move. I've just had a Zoom meeting with Charlie's great-great Grandson-dog. He tells me he still parades around what is left of Highfield Road, sh!tting and p!ssing as he goes. He told me not to allow Edgar Street to go the same way.

Coventry fan in the Crucible crowd next to where Mark Selby sits.
Probably casing it for a ground share.

Looking back through this thread and watching the clip of the Spurs v Watford semi final I'd forgotten that Gary Plumley played in goal for Watford that day. He came in as emergency cover for the injured and another former HUFC goalkeeper Tony Coton. Coton never actually played for the Bulls 1st team in the League and Plumley made 13 appearances in 1982. I watched the 1987 Final in a bar in Majorca - happy days.

It's not as if the action happens so quickly that you may have missed it. I could understand it if they were filming me playing, as I'm a "Standby all pockets and cushions" type of player; hit the ball as hard as you can, then go and have a fag and come back just as the last ball stops moving and see what's happened.

I used to love to play snooker. I adopted the correct stance, perfected my cue action and played at every opportunity.
And remained steadfast as one of the worst players imaginable.
One of my work colleagues from 40-odd years ago played with exactly the approach ecb has described. We all took cover whenever it was his turn to break. I occasionally managed to beat him with my superior technique as he was just slightly more crap at the game than me.
The last time I tried to play snooker it was apparent that my eyesight really was as bad as the optician had told me. Most people claim to have retired from a sport almost unbeaten. I retired from playing snooker without a real victory to my name.
On a serious note, there was a time when the World Snooker Championship from the Crucible held me spellbound for the duration. I regret to say that Selby and Murphy are not providing me with much viewing pleasure.

Seems he's no longer allowed to be a proper replica shirt w⚓ due to sponsorship restrictions, so today he's been sporting what looked like a home-made version of the much-lamented brown away kit. He's gone down in my estimation though; he should've complemented it with a ginger wig.

Presumably the face mask isn't on all of the time.
