I note that the BBC have a programme called The Womens' Football Show that nobody watches. I think that to increase viewers they should change the title to Girl On Girl Action.

Er, yes. Don't you watch PMQs? That's what one lady MP brought up in the Commons at 12-05 pm yesterday. No I don't, at work. Did see it on the news though, I just didn't get the Eddie Izzard bit

Prime Minister's Questions today. First question: "Will the government give due consideration to a new bill to outlaw Upskirting?" I wondered how long it would be before Eddie Izzard began to have an effect. This "upskirting" business. I understand it's not currently a criminal offence in England or Wales, but it is in Scotland (CB could confirm/advise, presumably?).

So I take it that you think it's ok for some deviant to film or take a photograph up a female's skirt? Because I for one, think that if I caught someone doing that to my wife or daughter (Your wife/girlfriend too) I would kick seven bells of sh!t out of him. I find your humour on this occasion wholly inappropriate. Good on the MP who raised this issue at PMQS.

I can't get my head round this upskirting business,a term i'd never heard of untill now.
1.how does this actually happen? It must be quite obvious if someones got a selfie (hate that word)stick and they're hovering around you at shoe level.
2. What exactly do they expect to see?
Asking for a friend obviously.

Perverts filming up female's skirts without the victim's knowledge. For the pervert's own pleasure or for sharing with other like minded saddos. They use a whole host of devious techniques to do the filming which is not obvious to the victim or those around them.

I think (there was an incident fairly recently reported) that these things tend to happen in crowded places (nightclubs, for example) where the unfortunate, usually female (see what I did there?) victim is less likely to be aware of what people are doing with their smartphones and/or their sticks. 2. Come on Mike's friend - think about it.

On the contrary, the female questioner was making no provision for boys at school or men wearing skirts to be similarly protected from women. You need to think about these things more carefully. Good evening.

The subject that was raised is a very serious one and in the main raised for the safety and protection of females in our country. I do think about things seriously and that's why I challenged your flippant remark. Good evening to you to.

Putzie looks up girls' skirts in Grease and nobody bats an eyelid.
Double standards.

It will be jolly interesting to see the outcome of the John Bercow affair. Inasmuch as the PPS who has accused him of bullying is himself a male, I'm predicting that nobody will be interested. Male on male - not politically sensitive.

Normally charge as outraging public decency, but could also be charged as voyeurism. Typical "something must be done" approach by MPs trying to deal with a non existent lacuna in the law (see also the ridiculous recent furore about reasonable force being exercised by householders)
