Don’t remember a John Notley, but Paul’s brother in law, Ivor Aubrey was a contemporary along with Peter Plumley.
I’ll check with my Dad. He’s on the phone.....
He says yes.

You revised that just in time. 😃 ? I'm convinced that initially you posted that he had made 165 first class centuries but the next time I looked you had revised it to the correct figure, hence my comment. As I'm presently using my 'phone I am unable to see whether you had edited your post. If I'm wrong I offer you an apology and, if that is the case, my recent visit to Specsavers was prescient.

Ah go then wain, I'll bite, morning off and all. Why should a journalist be dismissed for doing her job? Because she was asking the wrong person. "Do you think you haven't received a knighthood until now because of a historical offence?" should obviously be addressed to the person or persons who hadn't previously agreed to its conferral. How the hell would he know? Perhaps she could also have been less lazy and contacted the alleged recipient of Mr Boycott's abuse. No wonder Humphries is paid ten times more than Kearney and all the rest of them.

No wonder Humphries is paid ten times more than Kearney and all the rest of them. However, Humphries isn't quite the force he once was. His Iranian interviewee this morning rebutted his questions with ease and Humphries became ever more frenetic. Probably a good decision to step down later this year. Mastermind is a far less taxing thing and is probably still very lucrative for him.

Ah Geoffrey Boycott. As in something that happened a few years ago (his conviction and sentence in France for beating up his then partner) is irrelevant to whether or not he receives a knighthood. Strange how he doesn’t apply the same logic to his cricket career.... There was a fabulous wind-up, when Aggers and friends convinced Boycott that a century he scored against a RoW XI had been re-classified as 'not a first-class match', and that he had thus only scored 99 centuries. Probably on you-tube or something similar, priceless. Excellent batsman, the like of which we could use right now, but a long way down the list of fellas you'd enjoy a pint with. Well no. Although he's less prone than some to completing a sentence with a preposition, he doesn't drink beer.

That has just reminded me that there used to be some pretty bad (but funny for a bit) dubbed Postman Pat clips on You Tube.

Thankfully, Judy isn’t a misandrist. They make a lovely couple.

The Silicon Teens. (Don’t google it) Brainchild of Daniel Miller - Ballard obsessive and founder of Mute Records - and Frank Tovey aka Fad Gadget. They covered John Fred's best-known song. Do I win a prize?
